About MesoMatt

Matthew, widely known online as MesoMatt, is an American meteorology student currently studying at Western Kentucky and is well known in the TikTok world. He is best known for his severe weather coverage and for doing what he does best - saving everyday lives. Matthew posts videos on many platforms—educating and having conversations about what could happen in the US.

Matthew always knew at a very young age that his drive and passion were the phenomenon of weather. At 6 years old, his mother decided to turn on The Weather Channel, and that’s where the passion grew. As Matthew got older, he carved his own path—creating videos and live streams on his personal Facebook, letting his home state know what would happen. Matthew had his TikTok account back in 2014, the platform known as Music.ly, but didn’t start making content until 2022.

Matthew knew in his heart what he wanted to do with his life, so he took on the challenge by continuing to make content and stream while still working his full-time job. He mastered the ultimate juggling act—checking in hotel guests while saving lives in the same breath.

Fast forward to 2023, Matthew continued to push forward what he does best, but decided to create an amazing team that is also intrigued by the weather. Currently, he helps manage a wonderful team that works together to strive for something great.

He also wants to thank his amazing team for working so diligently with him and getting the word out to others who are impacted by the weather every single day.

Here is what some of his viewers think when they see MesoMatt:

Matthew is so helpful in making sure people are weather aware and prepared. He has been more accurate than any of the weather apps that I personally use to check upcoming weather. I knew a tornado was coming my way because of him, way before I was notified by the local weather and tornado alarm.

I was scrolling TikTok one day and I found this guy, he was live talking about tornadoes in the south. it was during a bad outbreak. Anyway, I loved the live and the way he was just so calm, and talking everyone who was listening through it. Matt, you are an amazing person, and will be an amazing meteorologist!!!! Best of luck in the future and best wishes always!!
